Things to Do
Copper Mountain is locally famous for its Copper Country Music Festival, a Labor Day concert that brings at least a dozen different country musicians to the mountains. The Copper Triangle Bike Ride is Colorado's largest annual cycling tour that crests three Colorado mountain passes: Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass, and Vail Pass. The route incorporates three ski areas and showcases historic mining outposts. There’s also an annual Mac and Cheese Festival when chefs put a variety of gourmet spins on this comfort food classic. At Copper Creek Golf Course, a Pete and Perry Dye-designed course that is challenging and fun for players of all abilities, players reportedly hit the ball 20 percent further because of the high elevation.
